Business Challenge

Resource Partners frequently have multiple projects running concurrently. It was of vital importance that each of these projects and its associated documentation was properly managed. Resource Partners required a solution that would cater to this need for document and project management, all in one integrated system. They turned to Content and Code to advise them on how best to proceed.

Our Solution

1Project, Content and Code's custom SharePoint template for project management was utilised to leverage the best of both worlds from SharePoint Portal Server and Project Server. Project teams can now successfully use the portal for web-based access to task allocations, task reviews, time sheets, and Gantt charts.

The Document Management system inherent to SharePoint makes it easy for users to create, review, update, store and retrieve documents. Users can now store documents in one central location, reducing duplication and eliminating the circulation of out of date documents.

Content and Code branded the Resource Partners intranet creating a look and feel consistent with their website. Using some of the custom components included with Content and Code's 1pack, users were able to benefit from additional SharePoint functionality including advanced search, breadcrumbs, sitemap based navigation, and a staff directory.

Personalised training was delivered to help users maximise the document management and collaboration benefits of SharePoint and Project Server.
