Accessible Sites

The Disability Discrimination Act makes it unlawful for a service provider to discriminate against a disabled person by refusing to provide them with any service which it provides to members of the public. Services to members of the public may include websites.

Content and Code ensure your site is accessible to everyone and appears precisely how it should be. Our Websites and Intranets come fully tested against standards set by the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). We test sites and their content for compliance using WebXACT (http://webxact.watchfire.com), an online automated tool that tests pages of web content for quality, accessibility, and privacy issues.

Navigation is a key means of directing different audiences to relevant content. Over the years, Content and Code have developed a set of usability and best practice guidelines for optimum site navigation. When this is combined with effective search functionality, your website will deliver the right content to the right audience within a few clicks or keystrokes.

Microsoft also provides extensive support and a number of products and resources in accessibility. See: http://www.microsoft.com/enable
