easyJet - Customised collaborative platform
What We Achieve

What was the challenge?

As a dynamic company, easyJet needed a platform to support their growth. Ranked in the top three airlines in Europe, easyjet flies more than 470 flights a day to 73 destinations across Europe.

easyJet required an intranet that would provide them with a collaborative platform, connecting staff around Europe and allowing them to work together effectively. It would also enable employees to self-serve – with access to all the tools they need to do their job.

How did we help?

easyJet chose Content and Code to architect, design, develop and implement an intranet that would provide them with a collaborative platform.

Built on Microsoft SharePoint, the new intranet allowed easyJet to solve their key business challenges of document management and collaboration – as well as provide them with the following features:

  • Electronic Forms
  • Business Processes
  • Records Management

How did we meet our clients goals?

The intranet we built for easyJet brings people and information together and allows staff to do every day tasks more efficiently.

As Tim Wallis co-founder of Content and Code explains: "Users are also able to use SharePoint’s  powerful search to easily search for and find information - but, more importantly, the information is delivered to them in the way that they want it and at the time they need it."

In response to the need for staff to self-serve Andy Caddy, Head of IT Services at easyJet said: "We ask all our customers to serve themselves and increasingly we ask all our employees to serve themselves. That means demands on IT are pretty intensive and we want things to be very efficient and we want them to work very well. What we’ve seen with SharePoint so far is that it’s going to give us all those things".

What did our client have to say?

"The easyJet vision for our intranet is of an information and collaboration portal that simplified business.  With SharePoint we are changing the experience for every employee – we have found the little things make a huge difference to our employees; being able to book rooms, find people, exchange documents and exchange documents online is a huge benefit."

"Integrating information on our crew portal through SharePoint will eventually lead to faster turnarounds of our planes resulting in direct bottom line results."
