What’s your background?

“I have a Computer Science Degree from Manchester University, which led me into becoming a developer for five years. After this I worked in Moscow for four years at a gaming company – it was there that I first used Microsoft SharePoint.

In 2006 I moved back to England, starting at Content and Code in January 2007. By then I had made the transition from behind-the-scenes development to account management and sales. My initial role here was an account manager, but when we adopted our new vertically-focused structure I became a Business Director.”

What’s been your biggest achievement at Content and Code?

“Probably the close relationship my team has developed with Microsoft in the retail and finance sectors. We are often the first people Microsoft think of when they have a client who needs to achieve something with the software. Over the years we have impressed them with our capabilities.

I’m also very proud of the Financial Control Tool we built for the Old Mutual Group. It enables the organisation to create, assess and track financial risks and controls. The tool is an essential part of Old Mutual’s compliance strategy and helps to significantly reduce the risk of financial misreporting.”

What are you working on right now?

“My team is looking very closely at how Microsoft SharePoint can be crafted to meet the needs of the retail and finance sectors. We focus on what we’ve done well in the past and how it can help other clients in the future.”

What do Content and Code offer that’s unique?

“We have more experience of creating solutions in Microsoft SharePoint than anyone else in the UK. What’s more, our agile approach to projects and delivery is highly compatible with the Microsoft solutions we build for our clients. We are perfectly set-up to meet their business goals.”

Can you describe Content and Code’s culture?

“It’s dynamic, young and exciting. We don’t stand still. You have to evolve quickly when you are working with cutting-edge technology. We work hard, but we’re never overworked. Staff are treated fairly and the working conditions encourage a fantastic working environment.”
