Key responsibilities
- Internal consultancy and knowledge sharing
- Pre-sales technical consultancy
- Design analysis, infrastructure and technical architecture – build, configuration and deployment
- Providing clients with guidance and advice throughout the implementation of their SharePoint system.
What’s your background?
“I studied Computer Science at the University of Hertfordshire before joining GlaxoSmithKline and subsequently News International.
Two-and-a-half years ago I started at Content and Code as a technical lead. There were just 40 people working at the company then – but the friendly ethos of those days survives.”
What’s been your biggest achievement at Content and Code
“It’s hard to look beyond the award-winning RNIB project. We made a difference to many lives with that work. I don’t think anyone else in the industry has done anything on that scale.
For me, what we’d achieved hit home at the first user group where blind content editors used the system for the first time. It was quite emotional and a moment I am never likely to forget.”
What have you been working on lately?
“Lately, I've been working on Johnson Matthey's SharePoint 2010 global intranet , focusing on the governance aspect of the project. I've also been heavily involved in the planning and implementation of Balfour Beatty's SharePoint 2010 global intranet. When I'm not working on a client project, I'm researching and reviewing yet-to-be released Microsoft technologies and working on improving our internal processes at Content and Code in order to deliver the best results for our clients.”
What do Content and Code offer that’s unique?
“We’re not just about the technology. We offer the full package from business analysis to technical delivery and post-delivery support. I try and get to the bottom of what the client is looking to achieve before talking about the technology.”
How would you describe Content and Code’s culture?
“There’s a family atmosphere that holds true at all levels of the business. We’re all friends to be honest. Co-founders Tim and Craig are very approachable and open to hearing your views, what you’re working on and how things could be improved.”
