Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)
What is Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)?
More and more enterprise organisations are relying on digital resources that live beyond their corporate networks, on multiple devices and within the cloud. Management of digital identities inside and outside of your network perimeter is a necessity in the modern threat landscape to ensure that your sensitive corporate data is protected.
Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) is Microsoft’s multi-tenant, cloud based directory and identity management solution, combining core directory services, advanced identity governance and application access management. Azure AD is a rich, standards based platform that enables organisations to deliver access controls to business applications with centralised policy and rules.
What is included within Azure Active Directory (Azure AD)?
Single Sign-On (SSO) to any cloud and on-premises web applications
Compatible with multiple platforms and devices
Integrated with thousands of applications including SalesForce, Box and Office 365
Integrated with on-premises Active Directory
Enforce multi-factor authentication in Office 365, on-premises and for SaaS
Enterprise Scale and SLA
Identity and Access Management (IAM) for the cloud
Identity management should be at the heart of your IT infrastructure. Azure AD is a comprehensive Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution, with a robust set of capabilities to manage groups and users within your organisation. Azure AD helps to secure access to on-premises web applications and cloud technologies including Office 365 and external Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.
An Identity and Access Management solution helps your IT teams protect access to applications and resources across your corporate datacentre and into the cloud. With additional levels of validation such as multi-factor authentication and conditional access policies, you can now stay in control of who accesses your systems, devices, and sensitive corporate data from one place.
User access to any cloud app is now easier to manage
Within Azure AD, Single Sign-On can be enabled to simplify access to thousands of cloud apps, from Mac, Windows, iOS and Android Devices. Azure AD enables your organisation’s user base to launch critical apps from web-based access panels, or mobile apps, using corporate credentials.
If you are still operating on-premises technologies, Azure AD will allow you to publish on-premises web applications for highly secure, remote access and Single Sign-On. User attributes can also be automatically synchronised from Active Directory and out to cloud directories.
Secure sensitive corporate data and applications
Azure Multi-Factor Authentication protects your organisation against unauthorised access to cloud applications and on-premises applications. With the growth in Malware and external threats, your organisation will be protected and able to mitigate potential attacks or threats by strengthening authentication.
